Sophia Brakowiecki in "As It Is in Heaven" at Davis & Elkins College

Sophia Brakowiecki worked with the Costume Contruction and Crew and House Staff in the Davis & Elkins College fall theatre production of "As It Is in Heaven" which was presented in the College's historic Boiler House Theatre in Elkins, West Virginia. An undecided major, Brakowiecki is the daughter of Joseph and Julie Brakowiecki of Culpeper.

Davis & Elkins College is one of only two accredited theatre programs in West Virginia. Of the more than 3500 American colleges and universities, only 173 have theatre programs accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST). Davis & Elkins College Theatre Arts students are able to focus on an acting or directing concentration. Design and Technical Theatre students have the opportunity to learn in areas of general technical theatre, lighting design, scene design and costume design. The D&E Theatre Education program is geared toward training secondary school theatre teachers and is the only accredited Theatre Education degree in the state of West Virginia. All theatre productions are presented in the Boiler House Theatre, a stunning stage theater capable of housing theatrical productions in a wide variety of configurations and equipped with a state of the art computer lighting system.
