Ruby Stathers Represents D&E at WV Culinary Classic

2013 Apr 26

Davis & Elkins College student Ruby Stathers accompanied General Manager of Hospitality Services and Assistant Professor of Hospitality Management Melanie Campbell and Head Chef of Dining Services Derrick Lantz to represent the College's Graceland Inn at the WV Culinary Classic at Stonewall Resort. Stathers, a senior hospitality management major, is the daughter of Ray and Lynn Stathers of Marietta, OH.

The hospitality management major is designed to provide students with a sound knowledge of management principles, and a thorough understanding of food, and other hospitality-related businesses along with practical, working experience in one of the world's most exciting industries. In addition to off-campus internships, students will have the opportunity to work on campus in the Graceland Inn and Conference Center. Graceland Inn is a beautifully restored Victorian mansion and is currently a premier lodging, retreat, and meeting facility. The conference center provides guestrooms and three conferencing areas.
