Davis & Elkins' Nelson Recognized for Chi Beta Phi Membership

Davis & Elkins College student Jessica Nelson of Woodbridge was recognized during the College's annual Honors Convocation for membership Chi Beta Phi National Science Honorary.

The Zeta Chapter of Chi Beta Phi was established at Davis & Elkins College in 1925 and was recognized as the Outstanding Chapter at the 2014 National Conference. Chi Beta Phi is an interdisciplinary scientific honorary for undergraduate students. An affiliate society of The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) since 1935, the object of the organization is to promote interest in science and to give recognition to scholarly attainment in science.

Nelson, a junior, is a resident of Woodbridge, Va.
