Chaar Graduates from Davis & Elkins College

Elizabeth Chaar of Charleston was among 161 students who graduated from Davis & Elkins College on May 16 during the 106th Commencement Ceremony with speaker Dr. Richard Ekman, president of the Council of Independent Colleges. The weekend also included the traditional Nurses' Pinning with speaker D&E alumnus Joe Tacy, '07, and Baccalaureate featuring an address by moderator of the 221st General Assembly (2014) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Dr. Heath Rada.

Chaar, a daughter of Nouhad Chaar of Charleston, W. Va. And Nancy Chaar from South Charleston, W. Va. , received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, summa cum laude She was the class salutatorian. .
