Ashlen Wilson in Spring Theatre Production at Davis & Elkins College

Ashlen Wilson will portray the character Coneybear in the Davis & Elkins College spring theatre production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" which will be presented April 19-22 in the College's historic Boiler House Theatre in Elkins, West Virginia. A Theatre Education major, Wilson is the daughter of Jim and Angie Wilson of Elkins.

"The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" (book by Rachel Sheinkin, music and lyrics by William Finn, and conceived by Rebecca Feldman) is a hilarious, musical take of a group of misfit adolescents at a county spelling bee portrayed through flashbacks and tales of fun and woe. However, this isn't just any spelling bee, it's the county championship and a chance at appearing in the national spelling bee! Six children, kooky and eccentric in nature, fight for the title of Champion while three adults, just as spirited themselves, try to contain the children's excitement while often failing to contain their own.
